Ohio OVI Overview
In 2010, there were 1.4 million arrests in the United States for driving under the influence. In the state of Ohio, operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or a combination is referred to as an OVI. Other states may call their laws DUI, DWI, OUI, among other common abbreviations.
The Stavroff Law Firm has created a guide meant to serve as a general information tool to people in the State of Ohio about OVI’s. The guide walks through the steps that lead to an OVI charge, defines the charges, and outlines the possible consequences. This guide is not meant to be a replacement to legal counsel.
